Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By registering for or using InvoiceMeNow, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Maritz van Heerden, the operator of InvoiceMeNow.
2. Description of service
InvoiceMeNow is a cloud-based invoicing platform built for South African service professionals — including tutors, coaches, therapists, personal trainers, music teachers, driving instructors, dietitians, and consultants. The platform enables users to create, manage, and send professional invoices that include the information SARS requires on a tax invoice.
InvoiceMeNow provides invoice templates and tools that include the information SARS requires on a tax invoice. Whether a specific invoice is compliant depends on your VAT-registration status and the details you enter. Ensuring your invoices, VAT treatment, and record-keeping meet your obligations to SARS remains your responsibility — please consult your accountant or SARS if you are unsure.
3. Free tier
The Free tier is available at no cost and includes unlimited invoices. All tiers require an email address and password to register. Free tier users have full access to invoice history including marking invoices as paid, voiding, and reissuing. Saved client lists and email delivery to clients are available on the Basic tier and above.
4. Paid subscriptions
Paid plans are billed via PayFast, South Africa's leading payment gateway:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | R99/month | R990/year |
| Professional | R299/month | R2,990/year |
Subscription fees are charged in South African Rand (ZAR). All prices include VAT where applicable. You authorise InvoiceMeNow to charge your chosen payment method on the same date each billing period.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access to your paid tier until then. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use InvoiceMeNow:
- •For any unlawful purpose or in violation of any South African law or regulation.
- •To generate false, fraudulent, or fictitious invoices.
- •To impersonate another person or misrepresent your business identity.
- •To attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other users' data.
- •In any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
7. Intellectual property
Platform: InvoiceMeNow, including all software, design, templates, and functionality, is owned by Maritz van Heerden. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for your business purposes.
Your data: You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the platform, including invoice content, client details, and uploaded assets. We do not claim any rights over your business data.
8. Limitation of liability
InvoiceMeNow is an invoicing tool, not a tax advisory or accounting service. We are not liable for:
- •Any errors in your tax calculations or SARS compliance obligations.
- •Penalties, interest, or assessments arising from your use of invoices generated on the platform.
- •Loss of business, revenue, or data resulting from service interruptions.
You are responsible for ensuring your invoices are correct and compliant with your tax obligations. We recommend consulting a registered tax practitioner for advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
